Liaison Office

A Liaison office is an office of a foreign organization not wanting to start commercial operations as a registered company or trust in India. It is allowed to have a representative to perform either market research activities or act as a contact between the main entity abroad and the Indian partner (for trade purposes).

A Liaison office is not allowed to record any income and can record only expenses, which need to be submitted to the authorities every year.
